Our Story

Our bed and breakfast was born from a deep love for this corner of
earthly paradise, nestled in the heart of the peaceful and historic
town of Anzio — just a few steps from the crystal-clear waters of
the Tyrrhenian Sea and surrounded by a lush park next to the Tor
Caldara Regional Nature Reserve.
Villa Ninfa Alburnea boasts a rich and
fascinating history.
Built in the mid-20th century, the villa was originally conceived
as a summer residence for a well-known Roman family who fell in
love with the beauty and tranquility of the landscape. Over the
years, the villa has been lovingly transformed into a bed and
breakfast, with the desire to share the magic of this place with
our guests.
The villa’s park is a true natural sanctuary, where
centuries-old trees such as holm oaks, cork oaks, and hawthorns
provide shade and a refreshing atmosphere. Throughout the seasons,
the park comes alive with the colors of wildflowers typical of the
Mediterranean scrub: violets in spring, primroses and cyclamens in
autumn, and the rare sea lily in summer.
The proximity to the Tor Caldara Nature Reserve
enriches our garden with a variety of protected bird and animal
species — from woodpeckers to little owls, from eagle owls to
porcupines.
Every corner of Villa Ninfa Alburnea tells a

After a day at the beach, our guests can relax in hammocks under
the trees or explore the local beauty on long walks along the
park's paths.
The villa overlooks Via Ardeatina, one of the historic roads
connecting Anzio to Rome, offering easy access to countless
